School Culture

School Culture

We support both the academic and social development of our students. Working together with them, we strive to create a purposeful and nurturing school culture rooted in Islamic values.

We believe that encouragement plays a key role in developing good conduct, self-esteem, and self-discipline. While sanctions are in place for instances of misbehaviour, we believe positive reinforcement is a more effective way to motivate students to act with politeness and integrity. In this safe environment, mutual respect, confidence, and positive relationships can thrive—both within school and in the wider community.

House Points are awarded regularly for exemplary behaviour, and students are encouraged to keep track of their achievements both in and out of school. They are also given regular opportunities to take part in enrichment activities and national competitions like LAMDA and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. You can find out more here.

We encourage all students to engage in experiences that build valuable skills—especially those that promote leadership, teamwork and altruism.

Student Council & Prefects

In every Form Group there are opportunities for leadership and teamwork. Each Form elects a Prefect, a Student Council member, and a House Representative. By giving students responsibility within their Form, we encourage them to show initiative, demonstrate maturity, and contribute positively to their peers and the wider school environment.

The Student Council is an elected council made up of students from Years 7-11. They represent the students towards improving their experience at school. The School Council works closely with the Year 11 students to organise and host events.

School Prefects play a vital role in the successful and smooth running of our school. They are essential role models for all students and are a representation of our school.
